BANGGAI, SUARAUTARA.COM – The Head of the People’s Welfare Section (Kabag Kesra) of the Banggai Secretariat, Moh. Rifai Mahiwa, emphasized that the 2025 Ramadan Safari activities carried out by the Banggai Regional Government (Pemda) have nothing to do with the Re-Voting (PSU).
Rifai stated that the Ramadan Safari is an annual routine agenda that is always carried out every holy month of Ramadan.
“It has nothing to do (with PSU). This has become a routine agenda every Ramadan,” said Rifai, Monday (3/3/2025).

This statement was conveyed by Moh. Rifai Mahiwa, as the Head of the Banggai Secretariat’s Welfare Division.
In 2025, Ramadan Safari activities will begin in Simpang Raya District. Based on the schedule from the Welfare Section, the Regent of Banggai will be present at the Nurul Hidayah Mosque, Dwipakarya Village, while the Deputy Regent will carry out a Ramadan Safari at the Nurul Iman Mosque, Simpang II Village on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.

Speculation arose because Simpang Raya District is included in the area that will implement PSU based on the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK). However, Rifai emphasized that the choice of the location of the Ramadan Safari was not related to political factors.
“That’s wrong and definitely tendentious,” said Rifai.
The Banggai Regional Government Ramadan Safari always changes locations every year:
2022: Pagimana
District 2023: Nuhon (Regent) and Pagimana (Deputy Regent) Districts2024
: Bunta and Nuhon
Districts 2025: Simpang Raya District
With this track record, Rifai emphasized that the selection of the location was purely based on the annual agenda and not due to political considerations.
